About Our Baraguz Discount Codes
BaraGuz SlimT was born from a deeply personal journey and a shared commitment to intentional health.Founded by husband-and-wife duo Karen and Alexander Baraguz, BaraGuz blends cultural wisdom, scientific understanding, and modern wellness to create functional tea blends designed to support everyday balance from within.
Karen was born in New York City to a Dominican family and grew up immersed in traditional herbal practices passed down through generations. Alongside these cultural roots, she developeda strong academic passion for human health and science. Karen holds a biopharmaceutical educational background, giving her a deeper understanding of formulation, ingredientinteractions, and how the body responds to compounds at a biochemical level.
This unique combination ancestral knowledge paired with scientific training is the foundation of BaraGuz.
Alexander, a Canadian architect from Montreal with a Master’s degree in Architecture, brings structure, precision, and systems thinking into everything the brand does. The two met in Miamiwhile Alexander was supervising an architectural project a meeting that would later shape not just their lives, but a shared mission.
They married in Montreal in 2018 and quickly became known among family, friends, and their growing online community as passionate advocates for fitness, wellness, and intentional living.
THE BEGINNING OF BARAGUZ
A few years into their marriage, Alexander began experiencing cholesterol-related health concerns. Despite medical visits and prescribed solutions, he struggled to find approaches that aligned with his desire for long-term lifestyle support.
This moment sparked deeper research into traditional herbs, tea cultures, and functional botanicals used across generations particularly those Karen had grown up around. With Karen’s biopharmaceutical training guiding formulation choices, Karen began creating and refining homemade tea blends with a focus on balance, consistency, and ingredient synergy.
What started as a personal wellness exploration soon became something bigger.
As Alexander began feeling better and more energized, the couple realized that thesethoughtfully crafted blends could help others looking for simple, daily rituals that support ahealthier lifestyle.
OUR APPROACH

A MESSAGE FROM KAREN
“A visit to the Dominican Republic in 2017 changed everything for me.
Spending time on my family’s farm, my husband met my grandfather who at the time was 85 years old, active, strong, and still working the land every single day
He wakes up before sunrise, tends to the farm, and starts and ends his day with tea. Watching him, my husband couldn’t understand how someone his age could be stronger and more energetic than many adults decades younger in North America.
It wasn’t complicated.It wasn’t extreme.
It was consistency. It was tradition. It was intention
That experience stayed with us.”
Today, that inspiration lives on through BaraGuz.
By blending cultural tradition with biopharmaceutical understanding, BaraGuz was created to help people reconnect with simple daily rituals that support how they feel, function, and live.
Our focus has always been and will always be you.
